The Library at Cedar Creek Lake is anything but stuffy and boring. We’ve shucked the ‘Shhh I’m reading!’ vibe (except in the designated reading areas of course) and made it a hotspot for interaction and fun.
If you’ve never been to the library before, you’ll be surprised when you walk in our doors. You’re going to feel right at home and, chances are, that you’ll even make new friends.
Our goal is to help better your life and the lives of the children in our community. Last year, the library logged over 100,000 visits (that’s about 270 per day!) by patrons who were checking out books and movies, attending story hours, community events and browsing Internet using our broadband and wireless connections.
Our community library is divided in to different areas. If you’re looking for books and a quiet place to read you find it. If you need a computer and internet access to do research for a paper or to type up your resume, you’ll find that too. If you want to find out more about your family, we have excellent databases that help with researching genealogy or if you’re planning a trip abroad you can learn everything about the country before you go.
Our library is the heart and soul of the Cedar Creek area. It has a festive feeling to it; it’s busy but it’s organized. It’s a place where you can find something to do or you can chill out and relax. We like to think that if it’s happening in Kemp, Scurry, Tolosa, and Mabank in Kaufman County, Eustace, Gun Barrel City, Caney City, Log Cabin, Malakoff, Payne Springs, Tool, or Trinidad, then it’s happening here at the library.
